    The Device Partner Sales (DPS) team, part of the Windows & Device Sales (WDS) organization, plays a critical role in delivering innovative, AI-powered devices and cloud experiences. We collaborate with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), ODMs (Original Design Manufactures), silicon providers, distributors, and resellers to drive the full product lifecycle—from incubation and design to global sales through retail and channel partners. As a member of DPS, you’ll help shape Microsoft’s largest global partnerships, accelerate the growth of Windows devices and AI services, and influence key investment decisions.     As the **Director of Partner Marketing** for the HP (Hewlett Packard) and HPE (Hewlett Packard Enterprise) account team, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating sales of Windows devices and services, Server, and Azure solutions through strategic partner marketing. This role leads the development and execution of marketing strategy while owning investment programs across the region to drive joint success with partners and Microsoft. This role leverages deep expertise in full-funnel marketing and stakeholder engagement skills to influence partner plans and build trusted relationships. This role reports into Worldwide Marketing Lead but stays in tight formation with Americas sales team.

    Responsibilities

    Marketing Campaign Planning

    + Provide strategic input on partner marketing plans and lead full funnel marketing planning activities against key scorecard metrics and goals.

    + Identify and scope opportunities to drive strategic impact with marketing programs (e.g., revenue upside, new device growth, optimization of investment buckets).

    + Design, execute, and localize end-to-end customer experiences (e.g., digital marketing, partner events, lead sharing, and demos) by leveraging marketing assets, toolkits, playbooks.

    + Develop and mutually create new partner capabilities and opportunities through partner experiences to help provide a competitive advantage and to land key product messages with partners.

    Marketing Operations

    + Own marketing investment allocation, tracking spending versus budget, and impact on business outcomes. Establish return on investment (ROI) and related benchmarks.

    + Comply with budgeting and investing practices to ensure alignment with expectations regulations.

    + Ensure marketing funding, branding, and proof of execution compliance with program policies.

    + Seek exceptions to policies with appropriate internal stakeholders.

    Analytics and Insights

    + Engage Partners to assess marketing campaigns and investment impact on business outcomes. Identify trends in partner and competitive data.

    + Change and adapt partner strategies based on feedback and evaluation of data.

    + Share best practices, wins, insights and learnings to align and optimize.

    + Provide Americas regional view on channel dynamics, ecosystem, and competitive insights to inform strategy and benchmark performance.

    Investments Compliance

    + Ensure all partner investments are executed within budget and comply with Microsoft Policy and guidelines.

    + Maintain strict adherence to compliance requirements, including JMA/DRA guide regulations, funding protocols, privacy guidelines, and branding standards.

    + Verify all co-marketing assets deployed by partners aligning with Microsoft branding and co-branding principles.

    Qualifications

    Required** **/minimum qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 7+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience OR equivalent experience.

    + 7+ years experience with hands-on marketing campaign creation and implementation on the brand- or agency-side, part of a sales team in a related field, OR equivalent experience.

    + 5+ years experience in cross-functional team project management including planning, workflow optimization, managing timelines, and tracking progress.

    + 5+ years experience using data to derive marketing insights to influence/build execution plans or to inform business decisions.

    + 3+ years experience analyzing marketing effectiveness.

    Additional or preferred qualification

    + Master's Degree in Business Administration, or related field AND 6+ years sales, marketing, technology-based, or business development experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 8+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience OR equivalent experience.

    + 5+ years experience in enterprise solutions and device sales.

    + 3+ years experience within the Microsoft channel partner ecosystem.

     

    Partner Marketing IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
