Summary You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist (Technical Manual Manager Aircraft) in the Fleet Support Team Department of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST. Responsibilities You will analyze technical data systems to identify the effectiveness of logistics support operations. You will use management information system databases to store, maintain, and track program requirements and logistic information used to produce reports for program management and budgetary analysis. You will brief management of logistical problems associated with technical manual or data management. You will resolve integrated logistical support (ILS) problems by developing new approaches and procedures. You will develop technical data processes for an organization. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualifications for GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Evaluating current and proposed technical modifications to aircraft weapon systems and planning and executing integration and incorporation of these requirements throughout all affected maintenance and operational publications; 2) Evaluating engineering and logistics data sources authoring and editing assigned Technical Manuals using Quicksilver (Interleaf), Framemaker, Arbortext, EAGLE, PhotoShop and/or Illustrator software in accordance with S1000D and/or MIL-STD-3001 standard formats; 3) Managing receipt of, and responding to, all TPDRs submitted to the FST via the Joint Discrepancy Reporting System (JDRS), and providing timely and effective resolution to fleet inquiries.4) Preparing and submitting Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) for technical data packages for modification programs, to include scheduling information, milestone initiation, and delivery dates; 5) Conducting Contractor program reviews and evaluating Contractor proposals to ensure contractor scope, format, and content of technical manual deliverables are of sufficient quality and timeliness to meet contractual requirements.
