    RegisteredNurse (RN) – Corrections (Day Shift)

     

    FairfaxAdult Detention Center – Fairfax, VA

     

    Schedule:36/48 hour rotating

     

    + Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday (48 hours)

    + Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday (36 hours)

    PositionOverview:

    Fairfax Adult DetentionCenter is seeking a skilled and dependable Registered Nurse to join itscorrectional healthcare team. The selected candidate will be trained across allposts within the facility and will rotate through these assignments throughoutthe duration of the contract. Primary responsibilities include medicationadministration, with additional nursing duties assigned as needed.

    Qualifications:

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience in skilled nursing or correctional healthcare

    + Current Registered Nurse license for the state in which the nurse practices

    + Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred

    + Current CPR certification (if applicable)

    + Completion of TB Questionnaire, PPD test, or chest X-ray (if applicable)

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age

    + Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in a secure environment
