    Description

    Serves as the leader for the Data Technology & Platforms team within the Health & Benefits technology organization. Focus of the role will be to lead data management & engineering function and collaborate with business and technology groups to provide data and analytics solutions and services that are aligned to the business strategy and needs.

     

    Seeking a hands-on, data-driven, innovation-focused individual who will make a positive impact and maximizes opportunities for using data consistently and effectively to generate analytics and insights. Demonstrates an excellent understanding of current trends in the data sciences field and can leverage them to meet business needs.

    The Role

    + Lead the team responsible for developing data strategy, data architecture, data engineering, and data integration for the line of business.

    + Provide vision and direction to the resources focused on architecture, development and maintenance of data pipelines, operational databases and data lake infrastructures

    + Responsible for operational management of the data assets and pipelines to ensure data is accurate, complete, and timely.

    + Manage the documentation and metadata of the data assets and their representation within the Enterprise Data Catalog (Microsoft Purview)

    + Provide leadership to the team responsible for planning, building, and maintaining data and analytics capabilities to meet business needs.

    + Partner and collaborate with the line of business technology leaders, product owners and other business stakeholders to develop and implement data solutions and services and ensure alignment and effectiveness

    + Lead and develop the team, ensure effective day to day operations, change management, ensure deadlines, budgets and service levels are met, set objectives, define career paths, provide learning and development opportunities, conduct performance reviews, and continually improve results

    Qualifications

    + 15+ years of experience in data management or related technology solutions area with at least 8 years’ experience in leadership roles.

    + Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Data Science, or related field is desirable.

    + Strong data engineering skills with focus towards Microsoft Azure cloud technologies including SQL, Fabric, Synapse, ADF, Python, Power BI

    + Experience of defining or working within data governance frameworks and associated technologies (e.g. Purview)

    + Candidate must have experience in data architecture, data management, or data science fields. Experience with BI and Analytics

    + Strong knowledge of data architecture, data integration, master data management, analytics, and their application to solve business needs/opportunities with ability to lead a team of highly skilled hands-on associates focused on collection, storage, management, quality, and protection of data for internal and external consumption

    + Expertise in evaluating both external and internal capabilities that are required to support the data solutions and services needs of WTW

    + The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal and communication skills, leadership qualities and be a team player

    Compensation and Benefits

     

    Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

     

    Compensation

     

    The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $170,000.00 -$200,000.00USD annually.

     

    This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.

    This position will remain posted for a minimum of three business days from the date posted or until a sufficient/appropriate candidate slate has been identified
