    Heavy Equipment Operator – Avenal Landfill (Waste Connections)

    • **Location:** Avenal, CA

    • **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM and most likely every other Saturday, 7:00 AM–12:00 PM

    Pay & Benefits

    • **Starting Pay:** $22–$26/hour (based on experience)

    • **Full Range:** $22–$27/hour

    What You’ll Do

    + Operate **dozers, excavators, and loaders** to manage waste and debris

    + Grade and move soil to support landfill operations

    + Performroutine equipment inspections and maintenance

    + Assist customers and team members on-site

    + Drive company vehicles for parts runs as needed

    What We’re Looking For

    + **2+ years** of heavy equipment operation experience

    + Valid **driver’s license** with a clean record

    + Ability to lift **50 lbs unassisted**

    + Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

    + Team player with a strong work ethic

     

    Work Environment

     

    Expect to work outdoors in hot, cold, or dusty conditions, with exposure to heavy equipment and machinery. PPE is provided and required for your safety.
