Salary:

Per diem $170 with increase/retroactive to collective bargaining agreement after 40 days

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Possess NYS Certification in one or more of the following areas: Certified Teaching Assistant, Elementary Ed 1-6, Special Education SWD 1-6

2. Ability to use Instructional Technology to improve student performance and address professional responsibilities

3. Familiarity working with students with disabilities

4. Familiarities with Writers' and Reader's workshop and iReady Math

5. Evidence of academic success at undergraduate and/or graduate level

6. Strong written and oral communication skills

7. Evidence of success working with a team

Qualifications Desired:

Teaching Assistants provide small and large group instruction, remediation, and support. Teaching Assistants provide input into the planning process, maintenance of student records, and student progress on IEP goals.
