    JMT’s Geomatics/Survey department offers an exciting work environment that leverages modern technology (terrestrial/mobile/aerial LiDAR, Drones, robotics, bathymetry, etc.) balanced with sound traditional survey procedures to deliver projects.

     

    Position Summary: Assist field crew leaders in performing day-to-day field work.

     

    This position is not eligible for employer-based sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification.

     

    Compensation is $19.00 - $23.00/hour, commensurate with experience, education, and certifications.

     

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities

     

    + Learn to operate survey and SUE equipment

    + Assist crew leaders in the performance of daily tasks

     

    Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities

     

    + Perform other related duties as assigned

    Required Skills

    + Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening

    + Valid Driver’s License Required

    Required Experience

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    Preferred Experience

    + Knowledge in field surveying techniques, including data collection, traverse establishment, GNSS surveys, and construction stakeouts

     

    Working Conditions

     

    Field work is required 95% of the time, where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 50 lbs) may be required as needed.

     

    Some Travel required.
