Label Specialist II (2nd Shift)** **– Clinical Supply

Catalent’s Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses. The site provides a range of integrated services for oral solid dosage forms, from formulation development and analytical testing to clinical and commercial-scale manufacturing. The Kansas City facility is a Center-of-Excellence for our Biologics Analytical Services business. Our talented team has over 25 years of experience providing analytical services for stand-alone and integrated biologics projects.

Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO is hiring a Label Specialist II on 2nd shift for our Clinical Supply team. The Label Specialist II provides support to the Project Management Team, Operations Team and our customers by printing and inspecting labels for use in clinical and commercial packaging and distribution. Responsibilities are carried out in compliance with regulatory requirements, good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

This is a full-time hourly position on-site: Monday – Friday, 2:30pm-11pm (2nd shift). Occasional overtime as needed to meet production needs.

The Role:

+ Label Inspection/Dispensing: Maintain, manage and request logbooks accurately for the purpose of inspecting labels in label control. Complete and understand all paperwork that is used for the creation and inspection of labels. Inspecting English Text, Foreign Text, Multiple panel and commercial labels for accuracy. Understanding of randomization logs and blinding requirements and how to inspect labels for accurately blinding a label

+ Label Printing: Maintain, manage and request logbooks accurately for the purpose of printing labels in label control. Ability to set up, use, calibrate and adjust printer settings per SOP. Understanding of printer ribbons and which ribbon is used for which purpose. Printing job runs, verifying barcodes and the knowledge to generate re-prints and paperwork required

+ Attend, manage and responsible to communicate and address issues, concerns or positives in kick off meetings

+ Communicate with Project Management team and Customers

+ Ability to perform deductions in inventory system and pull reports as needed

+ Creation of Global Scan Assembly (GSA) jobs, including the importing of verification data

+ All other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

+ High School Diploma/GED required

+ Preferred experience of one year in clinical labeling or related pharmaceutical operations

+ A full complement of business computer literacy skills (e.g., spreadsheets, database software, Microsoft Office, PRISYM, JD Edwards, etc.) is preferred

+ Must have high level of attention to detail for label inspection/review

+ Must have excellent documentation skills

+ Demonstrated ability to plan and independently implement multiple projects

+ **Physical requirements:** stand, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate, and reach with hands and arms for up to 8 hours per day. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen. Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
