The **Sr. Account Executive – Accountant** position is a quota-carrying sales role responsible for driving net-new growth within clients of National Accounting Firms. This individual will partner with our National Firm Partner Development Managers (PDMs) and will serve as a trusted advisor for the firm and their clients.
This role requires someone who is comfortable navigating multi-stakeholder deals, working with both large firms and mid-market customers, and tailoring messaging based on industry vertical and business maturity. _This position plays a critical role in service to one of_ Intuit’s Big Bets…Disrupting the Small Business Mid-Market. AM roles will be geographically located out of one location and will be in office for 3 days per week. Account territories can and will include areas across the US and will be supported virtually._
What you'll bring
+ 3–5+ years in a quota-carrying sales role (Account Executive, Senior AE, or similar)
+ Track record of exceeding monthly/quarterly sales targets and KPIs
+ _Experience selling SaaS platform solutions across various industries and geographies with negotiated rates/terms. Previous experience selling to large accounting firms is preferred._
+ _Working with small to medium sized businesses who own multiple entities and have an annual revenue size of $5M+_
+ _Demonstrated capability in managing a large pipeline of prospects through Salesforce, while supporting multiple Partners through the sales process_
+ Strong business acumen and ability to tailor messaging across industries
+ _Proven experience in utilizing key sales methodologies such as Challenger, SPIN, MEDDIC, or Sandler_
+ _Work well within a team of various stakeholders (Sales Engineer, Solution Specialist, Customer Success, Sales Operations)_
+ High energy, proactive ownership mindset, and passion for helping SMBs scale
+ _High EQ/IQ - Business and Sales Acumen (Innovate and Iterate)._
+ _Exceptional financial acumen and prior sales experience with Accounting, ERP, or other Financial Management Software, including experience with data integration_
+ _Accounting workflow knowledge and understanding of P&L and balance sheets_
+ _Bachelor’s degree or MBA preferred_
How you will lead
+ Own pipeline generation, discovery, demo, and close within a targeted territory
+ Develop partner relationships internally with other teams and externally with National Firms and their clients.
+ Collaborate with internal BDR, SE, and Partner Success teams to execute full-funnel strategy
+ Effective communication and organization while managing a large number of opportunities.
+ Deliver tailored value propositions across the IES suite (FMS + Payments + Payroll)
+ Become a subject-matter expert in key verticals (e.g., Construction, Financial Services, Professional Services)
+ Maintain clear, accurate pipeline tracking in Salesforce and participate in forecast reviews
+ Act as a feedback loop to product, marketing, and GTM teams to improve messaging and tools
+ Represent Intuit at events and conferences, where appropriate
