    Are you ready to help shape the story behind some of Florida’s most exciting attractions? As our Senior Communications Manager – USA, you’ll work alongside the Communications Director to build, grow, and protect the reputation of LEGOLAND Florida Resort (including the Theme Park, Water Park, SEA LIFE Florida, PEPPA PIG Theme Park, and three hotels) and the Orlando Cluster (Madame Tussauds Orlando, the Orlando Eye, and SEA LIFE Orlando). You’ll lead all things public relations—think grand openings, media buzz, and brand storytelling—while also managing issues like a pro, making sure everything runs smoothly and stays on-brand. Plus, you’ll help keep the magic going behind the scenes by supporting internal communications for our Merlin teams.     Qualifications & Experience

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Localize and implement the corporate affairs strategy in LEGOLAND Florida Resort and the Orlando Cluster, developing relevant plans to support its delivery and ensuring alignment with the business priorities for the area, as well as synergy with activities being delivered at a corporate level.

    + Actively contribute to the work of the business’s communication priorities in the US.

    + Ensure that each attraction has a tailored and effective communications plan developed and implemented.

    + Lead the planning, development and activation / execution of compelling public relations activity for each attraction, ensuring synergy with the approach for each brand and the cluster as a whole – and in close alignment with the marketing plans for these attractions.

    + Lead crisis and issues management for LEGOLAND Florida Resort and Orlando Cluster, responding in line with agreed frameworks and processes, escalating and partnering with the Communications Director for the US where needed.

    + Ensure that any input provided by agencies commissioned (where possible) jointly with other attractions, is in line with the approach set by the Communications Director for the US.

    + Ensure that relationships with key media are developed and maintained (in partnership with the Communications Director for the US and the global corporate team, as appropriate), so that enquiries are handled effectively and accurately through best-in-class press office functions (and in line with global lines-to-take, where relevant). May be required to work outside of regular working hours.

    + Support the Director of Comms in engagement with key stakeholders.

    + Support LEGOLAND Florida Resort and the Orlando Cluster in implementing the communications strategy to Merlin employees, in line with the localization determined by the Communications Director for the US.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    + Minimum of 5 years in communications roles, with a strong track record of proactively engaging media and managing public/stakeholder issues.

    + Proven success in crisis response and issue management, with a strategic, risk-aware approach.

    + Experience working in high-profile, public-facing environments, with the ability to draft precise, carefully considered public statements.

    + Understanding of (and ideally experience in) the Central Florida region and its unique communications landscape.

    + Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence in building meaningful internal and external relationships.

    + Ability to develop and execute communications and PR activities that align with corporate goals and best practices.

    + Flexible and responsive under pressure, able to prioritize and deliver high-quality work on short notice.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp eye for both opportunities and potential risks in messaging.

    + Sound judgment and the ability to provide ethical, transparent, and business-aligned communications advice.

    + Collaborative team player who values diverse perspectives and works well across departments.

    + Quick to grasp local community issues and support effective engagement strategies.

    Pay Range

     

    From USD $85,000.00/Yr.
