Job Description Summary
Responsible to assist with the operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties/facilities.
Job Description
EHS Technician, Job Description:
+ Bio waste management: removal, storage (Allogene, Link Cell) and transportation
+ Hazardous waste management: inspection, collection, classification, packaging, storage and transportation
+ Possibly perform waste consolidation (Transferring waste from one container to another). Certain hazard classes have specific requirements.
+ Maintain hazardous waste storage room: Weekly room inspections, housekeeping, waste segregation, storage dates
+ Maintain bio waste storage room at Link Cell & Kamau
+ Universal waste management
+ Shipment inventories
+ Managing waste supplies: drums and containers, bio waste bins, bio waste bags, PPE, waste labels, spill kit
+ Waste disposal observations in lab area: making sure waste labels are complete and within accumulation limits and that waste is being disposed of in appropriate receptacles.
+ * Possibly perform equipment decontamination
+ * Possibly assist in equipment decontamination
+ Manages the appropriate collection and storage of hazardous and medical waste at a multi-site campus
+ Ensures waste is collected, stored and disposed of according to applicable regulations
+ Perform regular Safety and Environmental inspections to support EPA, OSHA and requirements
+ Work with EHS manager in ensuring the sites are in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
+ Perform safety audits (C-Walks), inspect facilities, utility equipment and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance
+ Assist the EHS Manager in investigations of accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities
+ Assists EHS department with safety training, safety orientation at various site services
Requirements Include:
+ HS/GED Diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred
+ 1-2 Years of EHS /Bio-Hazard experience preferred
+ Experience in Life Science/Pharmaceuticals required
+ GMP Experience/Certification preferred
+ Ability to travel to both locations required

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $36.00 - $36.06
