Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated **Building Automation Controls Technician** to join our facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building automation systems (BAS) that control HVAC, lighting, and other critical infrastructure. Your work will directly impact energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Install, configure, and commission building automation systems and components.
+ Program and calibrate controllers, sensors, and actuators.
+ Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of BAS hardware and software.
+ Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
+ Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and facility managers to ensure optimal system performance.
+ Maintain accurate records of system configurations, updates, and service activities.
+ Provide technical support and training to end-users and maintenance staff.
Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma
+ Technical certification in HVAC, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
+ 2+ years of experience with building automation systems (e.g., Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Trane, etc.).
+ Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and control logic.
+ Proficiency in reading schematics and using diagnostic tools.
+ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
+ Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks protocols.
+ Familiarity with energy management systems and sustainability practices.
+ OSHA 10/30 certification or other safety training.
