Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Installs conduit.
+ Replaces circuit breakers, contactors, disconnects and other electrical equipment as directed by crewleader.
+ Repairs electrical saws, vacuums, and other electrical tools as needed.
+ Ensures companies electrical meets National Electric Code compliance.
+ Performs complex troubleshooting and repairs any problems that may arise w/the electrical systems throughout the facility.
+ Performs routine repairs to the AC systems.
+ Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities without assistance.
+ Maintains the security and controlled access system. This includes cameras, security gate controls, mag-locks, prox-readers, fiber optic modules, etc.
+ Reads blueprints and schematics for electrical repair.
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Must pass forklift certification test.
+ Electrical license a plus.
+ Must be available for on-call 24/7.
SKILLS:
+ Good leadership skills.
+ Skilled at PLC troubleshooting and programming.
+ Basic math skills.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Able to run conduit.
+ Ability to read and interpret a schematic.
+ Must be skilled in single and three phase electricity and to troubleshoot electrical problems.
+ Must be knowledgeable of motor starters and reversing contactors.
+ Must be familiar w/electronic motor controllers. This includes troubleshooting / replacing.
+ Must be able to calculate loads.
+ Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
+ Good judgment and attention to detail.
+ Ability to read, comprehend and assimilate information.
+ Ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships and interact effectively with all levels of employees.
+ Must be able to work at elevated heights.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality of trade secrets.
MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT:
+ Various hand tools common to the trade.
+ Forklift
+ Various testing equipment, i.e., DVM's, amp clamps, pH meters, chart recorders.

Requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Job requires wearing personal protective equipment, such as protective eyewear and steel-toed boots. Job requires ability to operate miscellaneous hand and power tools.
Job requires standing for short periods of time while working on electrical equipment. Job requires stooping or crouching regularly when working with equipment. Also requires bending at the waist and legs. Requires climbing a stepladder in order to work on electrical equipment in some places. Job requires considerable walking, in going from place to place within the facility and on the premises.
Job requires ability to lift up to 20 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally (with assistance) when working with electrical equipment and tools on the job. Must be able to carry objects such as ladders or parts from warehouse.
Job requires clarity of vision, with or without corrective lenses. Requires good color determination in identifying different colors of wires.
Job requires working in a various environments. Exposed to such hazardous conditions as extreme noise levels and electrical, automatic, and/or moving equipment.
