Are you an organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven professional with a passion for optimizing procurement processes? At 5th Axis, we're looking for a proactive Buyer to drive our manufacturing success by sourcing high-quality materials and services at the best value. This is a full-time, on-site position based at our San Diego facility, where you'll play a central role in supporting our manufacturing operations. In this critical role, you'll manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries-all while maintaining inventory accuracy and quality standards. You'll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently, overseeing procurement from forecasting through fulfillment.

What You Will Do:

+ Manage inventory levels to support production needs

+ Research and forecast buying trends and market conditions

+ Source quality materials, components, and services

+ Develop and maintain supplier relationships

+ Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms

+ Assess financial risks and cost-effectiveness of purchases

+ Collaborate with Accounting to resolve invoice or payment issues

+ Visiting suppliers to address production or delivery concerns

+ Maintain accurate records of prices, quantities, and schedules

+ Support other purchasing-related tasks as needed

Do you have:

+ A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (or equivalent experience)

+ 2-5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain - preferably in a Manufactuing environment

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail

+ The ability to make informed decisions quickly

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

+ Understanding of purchasing procedures and legal considerations

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure

Pay Range: $72,000 - $125,000 per hour
