Eaton’s GEIS division is currently seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist. This role is onsite at our La Grange, NC facility. Relocation is provided within the United States.
The La Grange, NC facility specializes in injection molding, conduit fittings and cable glands, plugs and receptacles, as well as drilling and marine products. The Senior HR Generalist will partner with the HR Manager to support the development, implementation and administration of Human Resources policies, practices, strategies and services across the La Grange, NC plant. This role will provide leadership to a broad array of HR generalist activities including but not limited to: recruitment & selection, onboarding, employee, leadership coaching & development, compensation, benefits, and other HR processes.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $83250.0 - $122100.0 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you’ll do:
In this role you will:
+ Serves as a key point of contact for approximately 130 hourly non-exempt and salaried exempt employees to connect with the human resources department, while promoting Eaton values and providing courteous and timely service to all employees
+ Drive positive employee to provide an optimal work environment for all employees. Effectively deploy communication plans and utilize assessment tools (e.g. employee survey) to determine organizational issues & action plans. Exemplify and lead Eaton values, philosophy & ethics.Supports various employee relations activities such as supervisory coaching, conducting investigations, and administering discipline
+ Assist the HR Manager with local compensation for both salaried and hourly workforce, including benchmarking within Eaton & external marketplace data
+ Lead hourly and salaried talent acquisition and management activities, including building and maintaining a successful internship program, diversity and veteran outreach, and serving as a liaison with Eaton University Relations team
+ Strengthens employee retention and engagement through establishing the standard onboarding and orientation processes with integrated efforts from various functions
+ Build organizational capability by supporting the Eaton talent management and organizational effectiveness initiatives in areas such as succession planning, organizational capability reviews, mentorship program, leadership development training, and performance management
+ Coach and influence leadership regarding policies, practices, laws and regulations to ensure all human resource policies and programs follow local and governmental regulatory requirements and are driving an engaged culture.
+ Serves as local subject matter expert for employee benefits and payroll questions, coordinating with remote centralized HR service center and payroll teams as necessary, and coordinates benefits enrollment meetings, communications, and processes
+ Generates and analyzes regular and ad-hoc reports for regulatory, budgeting, and auditing purposes
+ Facilitates and participates in company-wide committees in support of the overall Eaton goals, such as employee engagement, wellness and community involvement.
+ Facilitates the end employment process for both voluntary and involuntary separations
+ Assist in the development and deployment of effective training process to meet the current and future needs of the strategic plans of the organization
+ Prepares and distributes HR related communications, policies, and procedures
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
+ Minimum 2 years of human resources and/or labor relations work experience
+ This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158.

Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree in Business or Human Resources from an accredited institution
+ Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
+ PHR or SPHR certification
