Job Summary:

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center is seeking a full-time Acute Care Nurse Practitioner **(** ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic cardiology care team. This hospital-based role focuses on delivering high-quality care to post-surgical and ICU cardiac patients, supporting both cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons in Austin and Round Rock, TX.

Qualified Candidates:

+ Board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

+ Texas licensure required

+ No Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs)

+ Minimum of 2 years’ experience in cardiology and/or ICU settings

+ Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

+ Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

+ Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

+ No night shifts

+ Provide inpatient cardiac care, including rounding, assessments, and care coordination.

+ Develop and implement discharge plans under the supervision of cardiology providers.

+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

+ Cover patient care responsibilities at Round Rock Medical Center as needed.

+ Participate in weekend and holiday rounding across St. David’s HealthCare hospitals (approximately one weekend every two months).
