    Our two campuses in Methuen and Haverhill have a total of 320 beds, and we are a full-service, acute care hospital offering comprehensive inpatient medical/surgical units, outpatient care, and 24/7 emergency services. We have three behavioral health units: cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and Joint Center of Excellence, named as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.

     

    Position Summary: Food Service Associate - Part-time 20-Hour Evenings 3pm to 7pm Methuen

    Job Summary:

    Responsible for the nutritional service of patients, customers, employees, and the community. Responsible to the customer for courteous, accurate, timely service.

    Job Responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

    + Orders, prepares, portions, serves food, snacks, and nourishments; maintains supplies applicable to the area served, and prioritizes job duties to maintain customer service / flow of responsibilities.

    + Works tray assembly line. Delivers and retrieves patient trays according to safety and customer service standards.

    + Cleans, sanitizes dishes, utensils, and equipment. Reviews and stores daily deliveries and rotates stock according to standards. Knows proper procedures for handling food and operating equipment, including cash register system, dish machines, patient tray carts, cafeteria cooking equipment such as grills, fryers, panini, and other small appliances such as blenders, etc. Covers catering and special functions as assigned.

    + Accurately operates cash/credit/payroll deduction applications of cash register and is accountable for daily balances and cash deposits, and for accurately applying charges to all items purchased according to a process set by management. Maintains customer focus and utilizes customer service standards during all interactions with employees, physicians, patients, and visitors.

    + Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Education: High School graduate or equivalent.

    + Experience: Experience with catering, retail food service, cashiering preferred.
