Job Purpose:

Hyundai AutoEver America is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Technical Project Manager to lead the end-to-end management of BlueLink mobile applications, including MyHyundai (MyH) and Genesis Intelligent Assistant (GIA), as well as Wear OS and WatchOS apps across iOS and Android platforms.

This individual will be responsible for release planning, development coordination, vendor oversight, and ongoing operational excellence, while ensuring strict compliance with platform, technical, and cybersecurity standards.

This role requires strong technical expertise in mobile application ecosystems, collaboration across cross-functional teams, and the ability to drive complex, large-scale mobile projects from initiation through to successful deployment and sustainment.

Essential Functions:

Lead End-to-End Project Delivery (25%)

+ Manage the full lifecycle of BlueLink mobile and wearable applications for iOS, Android, Wear OS, and WatchOS.

+ Define and maintain integrated project timelines, deliverables, and resource plans aligned with business and technical goals.

+ Lead release planning, sprint execution, dependency tracking, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communications across internal and external teams.

Technical Engagement and Compliance Governance (30%)

+ Leverage working knowledge of mobile coding (e.g., Swift, Kotlin, Java) or prior development experience to:

+ Guide architecture discussions and provide technical oversight during development cycles.

+ Evaluate vendor code quality and ensure alignment with mobile design standards and platform constraints.

+ Lead submission, approval, and compliance workflows for Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

+ Ensure strict adherence to:

+ Internal digital governance, privacy policies, and corporate IT standards.

+ Cybersecurity protocols include secure coding, data encryption, vulnerability scanning, and threat mitigation.

+ Regional privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR) as they apply to mobile applications and data storage.

+ Collaborate with enterprise security teams for proactive security reviews and resolution of compliance findings.

Operational Support and System Integration (25%)

+ Oversee ongoing mobile application operations including availability monitoring, performance optimization, and incident resolution.

+ Partner with middleware, QA, and backend teams to ensure mobile-to-system integration is robust, scalable, and secure.

+ Support investigation and resolution of production issues including service-level root cause analysis.

+ Drive continuous improvements in system reliability, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional & Vendor Collaboration (20%)

+ Act as the primary interface between internal stakeholders (e.g., QA, UX, Backend) and project teams.

+ Coordinate third-party vendor teams responsible for mobile development, ensuring delivery aligns with scope, quality, and schedule expectations.

+ Track vendor SLAs, validate deliverables, and escalate risks where appropriate.

+ Facilitate business and IT alignment through regular project checkpoints, reporting, and cross-team syncs.

Basic Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related technical discipline.

+ 10+ years of experience in mobile application development and project management.

+ 5+ years in software project leadership, vendor oversight, or large-scale technical implementations.

+ Deep understanding of mobile application architecture, backend integrations, and cloud environments.

+ Technical Skills:

+ Familiarity with mobile dev environments (Android/iOS), including frameworks like Swift, Kotlin, React Native.

+ Knowledge of API architecture (REST/GraphQL) and experience with tools like Postman, Swagger, or Insomnia.

+ Understanding of middleware/ESB platforms, data integration patterns, and service orchestration.

+ Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB) for troubleshooting or operational validation.

+ Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated services (e.g., storage, monitoring, lambda/serverless).

+ Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, crash analytics (e.g., Firebase, Crashlytics), and release automation tools (e.g., Fastlane, Bitrise).

+ Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum, sprint tracking, backlog grooming, and technical documentation using JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project.

Preferred to have:

+ 3–5 years of experience in software development, solution architecture, or technical system design.

+ Background in connected car, mobility platforms, or automotive ecosystems.

+ Certifications such as PMP, CSM, or relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+).

+ Experience working in or with Tier-1 automotive suppliers or technology consulting firms.

+ Familiarity with authoring automated API test scripts or test suites using Postman or other tools.

Salary Range: $103,170 - $158,873
