Summary:
Consolidated Electrical Distributors, Inc. (CED), one of the country's largest and fastest-growing wholesale electrical distribution companies, is seeking a motivated, ambitious, and enthusiastic income tax manager to join its corporate income tax group. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing and optimizing the corporate tax functions and ensuring tax compliance with all relevant regulations.

Reports to: Tax
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field
+ 6+ years of relevant experience in corporate income tax with a focus on compliance
+ Intermediate/advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and Word
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES:
+ Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
+ Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree in Tax or Business Administration
+ CPA certification or CPA eligible
+ Proficiency in Thomson Reuters OneSource Income Tax software
Working Conditions:
This position operates in a professional office environment, which may require sitting for extended periods.

Essential Job Functions:
The job functions include a broad variety of tax matters including, but not limited to, the following:
+ Manage the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local income returns for the company and other affiliated entities.
+ Manage income tax provision compliance & financial statements audit to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
+ Review state modification and apportionment schedules.
+ Maintain tax basis depreciation records and intangible asset schedules.
+ Prepare and review quarterly tax estimates and year-end projections.
+ Analyze and reconcile various tax-related general ledger accounts: deferred tax balances, income tax expense, and Federal and state tax payable accounts.
+ Manage Federal, state income & franchise tax audits.
+ Manage state tax controversy matters, including notices and adjustments.
+ Coordinate, prepare, and oversee annual reports filings.
+ Research and maintain a working knowledge of state income/franchise tax developments.
+ Maintain federal, state, and local tax calendar.
+ Collaborate with other departments within the organization and provide assistance as needed.
+ Manage relationships with external tax consultants and provide guidance on the implementation of various tax planning strategies.
