Vice President - Chief Medical Officer Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $196.77 - $295.15 an hour - Full-Time, 40 hours per week Boulder Community Health is seeking a Vice President, Chief Medical Officer. The Chief Medical Officer, working in partnership with Boulder Community Hospital (BCH) administrative and medical staff leadership, provides leadership in the development of a culture of safety and the measurement of quality of care, identifying opportunities and pursuing strategies of performance improvement. The CMO is responsible for managing clinical operations, liaising between administration and medical staff and ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of medical care. Responsible for the strategy, direction and execution of the hospital’s clinical development plans, the Chief Medical Officer is expected to act as mentor to their physicians and medical staff, instilling leadership qualities, patience and confidence. Integrate evidence-based medicine practices whenever possible, building this into new and existing patient care delivery systems • Develop, implement, and monitor clinical policies and procedures and standards. • Responsible for overseeing the performance and performance management of physicians and advanced practice providers, including peer review processes. • Collaborate closely with hospital administration and leadership to develop and execute strategic plans that enhance healthcare delivery and community health outcomes. • Ensure compliance with CMS, state and other regulatory standards. • Monitor clinical performance metrics, patient outcomes, and quality indicators to identify opportunities for improvement. Supports an environment of quality, patient safety and cost containment that is data driven and utilizes systems to review utilization of resources and objectively measure outcomes of care in the inpatient setting • Serve as a liaison between medical staff, hospital leadership, and external healthcare partners. • Promote ongoing professional development and training for medical staff and clinical personnel. • Participate in budgeting, resource allocation, and staffing decisions related to clinical services. • Engage with the community and represent the hospital in local health initiatives and outreach programs. • Provides direct and indirect supervision of the advanced practice providers. • Participate in appropriate hospital committee and attend quarterly Medical Executive meetings. Medical Director • Lead and oversee the clinical operations of assigned areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies. • Develop, implement, and monitor protocols, policies and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care quality. • Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and support to department staff of assigned areas, including physicians, nurses and ancillary personnel. • Lead efforts in patient safety, risk management, and accreditation processes. • Facilitate effective communication between department staff and hospital administration. • Other duties typical to the role as assigned.
