Description

Responsibilities

+ Collaborate with teams to design and implement applications using both established and emerging technologies.

+ Ensure alignment with organizational data management standards and verify that applications comply with these guidelines.

+ Develop SQL queries and stored procedures, and use SQL Server to create reports and fulfill user data requests.

+ Partner with other technology teams to maintain high-quality system monitoring.

+ Communicate issue resolution processes clearly to users and management.

+ Contribute to technical documentation and application support procedures.

+ Ensure adherence to change management and security protocols.

Skills and Knowledge

+ Strong grasp of relational database design principles.

+ Extensive experience in database development, including DDL operations, query optimization, and stored procedure creation.

+ Hands-on experience with ETL processes using SSIS or similar tools.

+ Proficient in reporting tools, especially SSRS.

+ Skilled in developing reports and dashboards using SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent analytics platforms.

+ Familiarity with data governance and data management standards is advantageous.

+ Effective at collaborating with non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

+ Knowledge of MS Access, Visual Studio, Crystal Reports, or Datawatch Monarch is a plus.

+ Strong interpersonal, presentation, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.

Requirements

Education and Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Professional Experience

+ Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in database analysis and development, including writing complex SQL queries and generating reports using SQL Server.

+ 3 to 5 years of experience in the financial or banking industry is highly desirable
