Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Torrance, California. This is a long-term contract position within the manufacturing industry. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of cash application, invoicing, and collection processes while providing exceptional support to our customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Record and track received payments using a computerized accounting system.

• Compute and reconcile daily logs for cash receipts, wires, and checks.

• Maintain detailed records of collection efforts in the past due log.

• Investigate and follow up on open or missed invoices to ensure resolution.

• Generate and distribute monthly billing statements and provide credit copies upon request.

• Prepare essential reports, including invoice registers, cash receipts journals, and account breakdowns.

• Resolve outstanding chargebacks and discrepancies by coordinating with relevant parties.

• Provide clerical and administrative support such as filing, scanning, and document organization.

• Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned by the Accounts Receivable Manager. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role involving Big Box Retail Chargebacks and Deductions Research, Disputes and Reconciliations.

• Strong proficiency with computerized accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in cash application processes.

• Ability to perform spreadsheet creation, formula creation, v lookups and pivot tables in Excel.

• Familiarity with accounting principles and high-volume invoicing.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Competence in using office equipment such as ten-key calculators, fax machines, and copiers.

• Experience with ERP systems, CRM tools, and electronic data interchange (EDI) is a plus.
