Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Miami, Florida. This role is pivotal in supporting daily accounting operations and ensuring seamless financial processes during a critical audit period. Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts payable and clerical functions performed by two team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Conduct comprehensive year-to-date cleanup of financial records to align with organizational standards.

• Perform bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accurate account balances.

• Record revenue transactions and manage monthly accruals in compliance with accounting policies.

• Handle prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and related entries to ensure proper tracking and reporting.

• Post biweekly payroll journal entries to reflect accurate payroll records.

• Provide support in corporate tax functions, including sales tax and corporate tax returns.

• Prepare detailed journal entries and maintain the general ledger for streamlined financial reporting. Requirements

• Proven experience in corporate tax, including sales tax and corporate tax returns.

• Expertise in preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accuracy.

• Strong proficiency in bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Familiarity with managing fixed assets and prepaid expenses in accounting systems.

• Ability to handle payroll journal entries with precision and timeliness.

• Exceptional organizational skills to oversee accounts payable and clerical tasks.

• Knowledge of monthly accruals and revenue booking processes.

• Attention to detail and ability to execute year-to-date financial cleanup.
