Job Description

Omni Tempe Hotel at ASUis seeking aUtility Attendantto join the housekeeping team of our bpscale hotel. Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU provides Tempe with 330 guest rooms, 36,000 square feet of event space and four new food and beverage outlets. Featuring a rooftop upscale restaurant and the largest ballroom in the area, we expect to provide elevated options for our guests for dining and entertainment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver linen and terry to Room Attendants from laundry department.• Ensure that assigned linen room closets are stocked at par.• Remove trays from the guest hallways and ensure guest stairways are clean.• Deliver housekeeping supplies to housekeepers as needed• Strip vacant dirty rooms of trash and linen of both housekeeper rooms to be cleaned and dropped rooms• High dust – thoroughly clean the drapes, full window, every window sill, every picture frame etc.• Low dust – thoroughly clean all baseboards, edging, and under the armor.• Pull beds and nightstands away from the walls in order to deep clean behind them• Flip and rotate mattresses quarterly• Detail all furniture – desk, armor, nightstands and all drawers• Carpet Cleaning – Ensure carpets are cleaned as needed.• Stairwell – Maintain cleanliness of stairwells, sweep and mop as needed.• Maintain highest levels of cleanliness throughout the hotel property.• Complete daily and weekly cleaning projects as assigned.• Anticipate, listen, and follow through with all the guests’ requests in a timely manner.• Communicate any needs or concerns within the hotel with the appropriate departments.• Follow all Loss Prevention procedures regarding guest property, safety, and security. Reporting any concerns to department managers or loss prevention in a timely manner.• Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions.• Responsible for room attendant coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.• Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.• Move, push, and pull objects weighing up to 200 lbs. without assistance.• Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.• Requires repetitive motion of arms, hands, and legs.

*This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
