At GDIT, people are our differentiator. Our work depends on **Senior Network Engineer** joining our Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) F-35 IT program in Arlington, VA.

The Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) F-35 IT program support contract provides knowledge-based, information assurance and cybersecurity IT services to the F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office (JPO). Our services include program management, enterprise performance management, enterprise architecture, implementation of emerging capabilities and requirements, life cycle management, operations & maintenance, enterprise data management, service desk support, and IT training.

HOW OUR SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

+ Analyzes customer requirements and provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems.

+ Plan, configure, and implement networks solutions, including hardware, software, and cloud solutions.

+ Proficiency in various network technologies, including routing, switching, Azure cloud technologies.

+ Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize performance.

+ Ability to review network logs, backup network configurations, and recover network devices.

+ Knowledge utilizing Cisco ISE, Cisco Unified Call Manager, and SolarWinds.

+ Ensure compliance with network directives, policies, and STIGs.

+ Ability to apply network patches, updates, and DoD STIGs to firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs.

+ Works with project managers to complete rapidly deployed network-related projects.

+ Strong communication skills for technical and nontechnical inter-team collaboration.

+ Stays current with new network technologies and utilizes industry best practices.

+ May mentor and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

+ **Security Clearance Level:** Active Secret clearance required.

+ **Required Experience:** 6 years of experience in an enterprise LAN/MAN/WAN environment.

+ **Required Technical Skills:** Experience with Cisco and Azure technologies.

+ **Required Certifications:** DoD Manual 8140.03 Work Role:(441) Network Operations Specialist – Advanced.

+ CCNA or CCNP certification

+ **Education:** BS/BA Degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.

+ **Location:** Onsite in Arlington, VA

+ **US Citizenship Required.**

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
