Summary See below for important information regarding this job. Responsibilities Serves as the Branch Chief for Equipment Management Solutions (EMS). The position provides a senior focal point for the resolution of administrative issues and execution of EMS throughout assigned geographical area. Provides administration and execution of EMS, to include oversight of contract administration, billing, invoicing, workload planning and management, budget administration and customer service. Collaborates closely with DLA Document Services, Finance, and Contracting representatives to discuss current and future contractual, financial and administrative requirements as it relates to the EMS branch. Represents Document Services on ad hoc and/or regularly scheduled Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal committees involved in business areas for which Document Services can provide document automation services in conjunction with the EMS program. Maintains knowledge of copier industry trends and technologies. Recognizes and provides internal and external customer support; addressing customer issues as they arise; building confidence in Document Services products and services to customers; ensuring customer funding is in place for all EMS requirements. Provides oversight of vendors in their performance by ensuring Contracting Officer Representative (COR) assignments and training is completed, ensuring the meeting of technical specifications. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for a Supervisory Document Automation Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS- 13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Complying with organizational policies in all operational activities. Analyzing overall operations of assigned programs to evaluate their effectiveness in managing people, dollars, and materials. Performing a full range of personnel management functions such as filling key vacancies, developing formal training needs, approving performance standards, and evaluating the performance of subordinates. Providing oversight and guidance on federal contracting activities to include in the development, coordination, or execution of contract-related documentations, in support of program or operational goals. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
