    Job Title: Quality Engineer I

     

    Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

     

    Compensation: $37 - $38/hour

    Job Overview:

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer. This position supports manufacturing and installation operations by applying principles of quality planning, evaluation, and control. Ideal candidates will have a background in mechanical engineering or supply chain, with strong communication skills and experience in logistics or manufacturing environments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Manage systems related to plant customer issues (corrective action requests, nonconforming material reports, etc.)

    + Lead containment activities and support continuous improvement initiatives

    + Ensure compliance with quality standards during product and process development

    + Identify and prioritize quality-related issues, participate in Six Sigma projects

    + Conduct audits and assist in change management and data analysis

    + Collaborate with purchasing to improve the quality of purchased parts

    + Serve as a technical quality resource across departments

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field

    + At least 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting preferred

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    + Proven ability to solve problems using data and structured analysis

    + Experience coordinating with suppliers and managing quality systems

    + Proficient in statistical tools and quality process management
