             Support Center - Irving The Manager – Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and strategies within the Michaels organization. This role involves financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting. The Manager – Finance will work closely with senior management to provide financial insights and support business decisions that drive profitability and growth. Major Activities Financial Planning and Analysis: + Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts. + Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results to budget and forecast. + Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management. Financial Reporting: + Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Cost Management: + Monitor and control operational costs to enhance profitability. + Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost savings. + Implement cost control measures and track their effectiveness. Business Partnering: + Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support. + Help develop financial models to support new business initiatives and investments. Team Leadership: + Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals. + Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. + Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback. Other duties as assigned Minimum Education + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills + Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). + Financial analysis and modeling + Budgeting and forecasting + Financial reporting + Cost management Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires + Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the retail industry. + Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. + Business partnering + Compliance and risk management + Team leadership and development + Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Other + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. + Leadership experience with a proven ability to manage and develop a team. Preferred Education + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration. + MBA or CPA preferred.
