    Job Title: Shipping Clerk

    Job Description

    Join a dynamic team at a leading manufacturer specializing in customized marketing supply chain solutions. As a Shipping Clerk, you'll play a pivotal role in managing materials and inventory, ensuring efficient fulfillment and distribution.

    Responsibilities

    + Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.

    + Count stock items and record data manually or using computer systems.

    + Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.

    + Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.

    + Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.

    + Label stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.

    + Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

    + Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.

    + Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.

    + Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.

    + Sit-down forklift operation

    + Shipping software proficiency

    + Material handling expertise

    + Inventory management

    + Order picking

    + RF scanner usage

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with reach truck and sit-down forklift

    + Proficiency in order picking

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a climate-controlled distribution environment alongside four other shipping clerks. Steel toe boots and work pants are required attire.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesquite, Texas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
