    Job Title: General Laborer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated General Laborer who can lift up to 75 lbs regularly and is comfortable working at heights. This role involves working in a team atmosphere to perform various duties such as stacking and organizing steel plates. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read blueprints, utilize a tape measure for general layout on structural steel assemblies, and operate a 4-1/2” grinder for rust and mill scale removal prior to the welding process.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform heavy lifting and handle inventory management.

    + Operate forklift and overhead crane; training will be provided.

    + Potentially operate large CNC machines including robotic welder, plasma table, and brake press.

    + Support shop flow by managing all parts and recording updates in parts tracking software via tablet.

    + Pull parts and place them in bins according to bill of materials.

    + Move pulled part bins to shop floor as directed.

    + Ensure fitters have necessary materials to fabricate assemblies.

    + Receive and sort all cut-to-size plate.

    + Coordinate machine shop processing of cut-to-size plate.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to lift 75 lbs regularly.

    + Proficiency in reading blueprints.

    + Hand tool proficiency.

    + Experience in manufacturing.

    + Familiarity with loading, unloading, and shipping processes.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience assisting welders with grinding, prep work, and mag-based drilling.

    + Ability to learn and develop maintenance skills.

    + Meet productivity and attendance requirements.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is based in a manufacturing/fabrication shop with operations on two shifts: Day shift from 5am to 3pm (Monday to Thursday), and Swing shift from 3pm to 1:30am (Monday to Thursday).

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Airway Heights, Washington.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
