JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for making sure that products meet customer standards. Duties include examining shipments of inventory and raw goods, measuring the specifications of random items in each production run and training team members to refine production quality. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK 2nd SHIFT (3:30pm- 2am M-TH)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Analyzes overall market conditions, purchasing requirements and confers with departments regarding quantity and delivery requirements.
+ Meets with supplier representatives, obtains quotation, negotiates and initiates the appropriate agreements. Maintains regular contact with vendor representatives on matters of quality product or area requirements, delivery schedules and other details. Handles invoice discrepancies and negotiates adjustments with vendors for quality difference, rejections of material, tooling changes, etc.
+ Maintains constant awareness of new and changing requirements.
+ Establish business controls through appropriate documentation, purchase agreements, price lists, and files. Use tracking and reporting systems to monitor and recommend solutions to routine issues.
+ Good understanding of Inventory management, MRP and production schedules.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
+ Performs other duties when required that are outside of normal job duties.
+ May be asked to assist in other duties to ensure production needs are met in a timely manner.
SUPERVISION GIVEN/RECEIVED: This position receives supervision from the Quality Supervisor and this position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ High School diploma or GED
+ Ability to operate a computer with strong computer skills using technology such as Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Office word processing; creating complicated Excel spreadsheets (efficient to advanced knowledge and use) using specific functions, VLookup, Pivot Tables, graphs/charts; PowerPoint; Viseo, or database and/or proprietary software
+ Knowledge of manufacturing processes, test and repair codes.
+ Efficiently organize and maintain files and records.
+ Strong project management
+ Ability to assist with organization of team(s) to work quickly and effectively towards hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and semi-annual and annual goals
+ Proven ability to motivate others toward an end goal
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing electronics assembly & product qualification
+ 3-5 years' experience with IPC-A-610 Work Environment
+ 2-4 year degree in an electronics field of study
+ AS9100 experience
+ Six-sigma or lean principles experience

The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
