About the Role:

Kinetic Engineering is responsible for higher level engineering of complex networking solutions geared around enterprise solutions, security, wireless and VoIP engineering of customer networks. This IT Engineer role requires the ability and experience to quickly evaluate the installations of networking solutions focused on the hospitality market. **_***This position will entail providing dedicated support, on a daily basis, at a customer site in Manheim, PA. As a result, we're only considering candidates that currently (and ideally) reside within 30 minutes of Manheim.***_**

What You'll Do:

+ Primary responsibility will be the implementation and support of leading edge enterprise solutions

+ Responsible for the analysis, administration, design, implementation and support of voice, video, and/or data communications networks

+ Analyzes, administers and maintains voice, video, and/or data communications networks

+ Manages the usage and performance of voice, video and/or data communications networks

+ Design and Maintains network security and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures

+ Evaluates hardware and software, including peripheral, output, and related equipment

+ Participates in the development and implementation of network related procedures and standards

+ Participates in, and may lead major network installations and upgrades

+ Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance

+ Develops and implements testing strategies and document results

+ Provides advice and training to end users

+ Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems

+ Provides work leadership to less experienced network personnel and will have supervisory responsibilities on a project basis

+ Engineer will serve as a technical team or task leader

+ Must maintain current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned

+ Participates in special projects as required

+ Work performed with minimal supervision

+ Guided by policies and precedent

+ Individual contributors may function in a project leadership role

Do You Have?

+ Extensive experience designing, implementing and supporting solutions with practical hands-on experience in networking (Cisco, HP, Juniper), security (firewalls Juniper and Cisco), Wireless networks (Cisco, Ruckus) and secure environments (802.1x implementations/ACS/Radius.)

Even Better:

+ 8+ years of applicable experience in network implementation and support

+ If no degree, 10+ years of directly related experience in network installation and support

+ Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network implementation, design and support

+ Comprehensive knowledge of the design and installation of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, wireless access points, cabling, related network hardware and software

+ Comprehensive knowledge of desktop and server operating systems and applications

+ Strong understanding & working experience of TCP/IP communication principles – IP subnets, routing, VLANs

+ Ability to work with Cisco switches, routers and firewalls

+ Design, implementation and administration of Microsoft Active Directory environment

+ Strong understanding of AD Group Policies and Powershell scripting

+ Microsoft Azure/Entra experience a plus

+ Demonstrated knowledge of VMWare administration

+ Demonstrated knowledge of data backup and disaster recovery principles

+ Ability to work with Linux a plus

+ Strong administration skills in a Windows 10/11 desktop environment

+ Ability to work with end-users – strong oral, written communication skills

Minimum Requirements:

College degree in Engineering or a related field and 3-5 years professional level experience; or 7+ years professional level related Engineering/Technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Engineering/Technical experience required.
