    Director Medical Education

     

    UCHealth Parkview Medical Center, US:CO:Pueblo

     

    Pay: $47.57 - $76.11 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

     

    This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option.

    Summary:

    Provides leadership and oversight for all medical education programs, ensuring full compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements while directing daily operations, financial management, and program development in partnership with the Chief Medical Officer/Designated Institutional Official.

    Key Responsibilities

    The Director of Medical Education plays a key role in the health system's strategic and operational efforts by:

    + Oversee all administrative operations of the Medical Education department and its programs, including accreditation compliance, site visit preparations, data reporting, policy management, and coordination with accrediting and regulatory bodies.

    + Manage Medical Education financial operations such as reimbursement activities with CMS, departmental budgeting, financial transactions, and maintaining accurate documentation to support audits and cost reporting.

    + Direct, supervise, and develop Medical Education staff and program coordinators; handle hiring, performance management, staffing concerns, timecard oversight, and approval of leaves in accordance with ACGME and institutional policies.

    + Facilitate institutional agreements, committee meetings, residency database management, and annual Medical Education department events; serve as training program liaison with external organizations including the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).

    The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

    + Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Master's preferred.

    + Required Licensure/Certification: Certification by the Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (C-TAGME).

    + Minimum Experience: Minimum of 6 years' experience in graduate medical education administration. At least 3 years of supervisory experience. Thorough knowledge of ACGME accreditation processes and Medical Education operations.
