Description We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join a respected industrial supplier in Bakersfield, California. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of accounting operations in a fast-paced, small-office setting. This position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the financial accuracy and efficiency of a well-established business within the energy sector.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

• Conduct weekly check runs, wire transfers, and reconcile bank accounts.

• Perform month-end and year-end financial close activities with precision.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain an updated chart of accounts.

• Prepare detailed internal financial statements and reports for company leadership.

• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.

• Organize and maintain both digital and physical accounting records.

• Provide administrative support, including managing insurance documentation and tracking inventory.

• Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial best practices. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in full-charge bookkeeping or senior-level accounting roles.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

• Familiarity with month-end close procedures and general ledger management.

• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a small team environment.

• Prior experience in distribution, industrial supply, or energy-related industries is preferred.

• Self-starter attitude with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
