Job Title: Die Setter
Job Description
As a Die Setter, you will communicate with tooling and production teams to prepare and set dies on the bolster. Your role involves cleaning dies in the press and after production runs, transporting dies to tooling locations, and repairing grippers. You will be responsible for completing the die setter checklist and learning how to work on precision handling equipment for the press lines. Operating all cranes, hilos, die carts, and other equipment related to die setting will also be part of your duties. You must possess knowledge of setting dies on all assets where tooling is required.
Responsibilities
+ Communicate with tooling and production to prepare and set dies.
+ Clean dies in press and after production runs.
+ Transport dies to tooling location for maintenance.
+ Repair grippers and complete die setter checklist.
+ Learn and operate precision handling equipment for press lines.
+ Operate cranes, hilos, die carts, and other die setting equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Die setting expertise.
+ Crane operation proficiency.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma/GED required.
+ 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing plant preferred.
+ Experience setting dies and operating cranes/hilos preferred.
+ Strong communication and organizational skills.
+ Computer proficiency, particularly in SAP for recording work.
+ Ability to work overtime and different shifts as necessary.

Work Environment
Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment on the 2nd Shift from 2 PM to 10:15 PM, with competitive hourly wages and shift premiums. The facility spans 710,000 square feet and is equipped with the latest robots and laser cutting machinery. While it can be noisy and hot, especially in the summer, you will be part of a team that designs and manufactures metal automotive components for leading vehicle manufacturers. The company is committed to advancing press hardening technology and collaborates with top automotive OEMs.

This is a Permanent position based out of Mason, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45344.00 - $45344.00/yr.
Benefits start Day 1 (BlueCross BlueShield)
2 Weeks Vacation (non-negotiable)
32 hours PTO = 16 in January, 16 in July
$1,000 Signing Bonus within first 90 days (paid out at 30 day, 60 day, 90 day)
