    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director, Human Capital Shared Services, to lead our high-volume, high-impact Human Capital Operations and Project Management function. This will oversee the continued evolution of our Shared Services Center (HR SSC), with a strong focus on Workday optimization, consultative HR service delivery, and scalable managed services models.

    What You Will Do:

    Strategic Leadership & Transformation

    + Serve as the strategic leader for Human Capital Shared Services and Project Management functions, overseeing the delivery of high-quality support to employees, managers, executives, and HC colleagues across the organization.

    + Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR delivery models, ensuring operational excellence and best-in-class employee experience.

    + Provide executive-level project leadership for cross-functional HR initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and change management best practices.

    + Represent HC Shared Services in enterprise-wide forums, influencing policy, technology, and process decisions.

    Operational Excellence

    + Oversee the management of complex HR cases, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate escalation to senior leadership or subject matter experts.

    + Responsible for the integrity and governance of HR data across global Human Capital Management (HCM) systems, including oversight of audits, compliance, and reporting.

    + Drive the evolution of HR business processes by identifying and implementing enhancements that improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience.

    + Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and regulatory requirements across all HR operational activities.

    + Oversee the full lifecycle of HR administrative processes, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with strategic workforce planning.

    + Champion the development, expansion and adoption of self-service tools and knowledge bases to empower employees and reduce transactional volume.

    + Identify and mitigate risks in HR operations, proactively addressing gaps in documentation, processes, or compliance.

    + Partner with IT and HRIS teams to test and implement new HCM system enhancements and upgrades.

    Consulting & Managed Services

    + Assess HR service delivery, identify gaps, and implement best-in-class solutions.

    + Design and scale HR solutions that are efficient, client-focused, and aligned with business goals.

    Team Leadership

    + Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership to a high-performing Human Capital Operational team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

    + Set clear goals and performance expectations, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and service-level agreements.

    + Coach, mentor, and develop team members, building leadership capability and succession readiness across the function.

    + Promote a culture of employee engagement encouraging innovation, feedback and professional growth.

    + Lead through change by modeling adaptability and resilience, equip the team to navigate evolving business needs and technologies.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    + Partner with enterprise functional teams to ensure cohesive service delivery across the employee lifecycle.

    + Serve as an advisor and escalation point for complex, high-impact HR issues, ensuring timely resolution and alignment with organizational policies and risk management practices.

    + Foster a collaborative environment that promotes transparency, responsiveness, and shared accountability across stakeholder groups.

    What You Will Need:

    + Bachelor’s Degree; Four (4) years additional professional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

    + Twelve (12)+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role within Human Capital Shared Services or HR operations with demonstrated success managing teams and large-scale projects.

    + 3+ years of direct experience with Workday (HCM, reporting, and process optimization) and case management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).

    + Proven ability to lead in a matrixed, challenging environment with a strong focus on customer service and operational excellence.

    + Deep knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

    + Proven ability to manage high-volume operations while maintaining strategic focus.

    + Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.

    What Would Be Nice to Have:

    + Master’s Degree

    + Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) or project management (e.g., PMP)

    + Experience with digital transformation initiatives in HR, including automation and AI-driven service delivery.

    + Experience in managing consulting or managed services environments is highly preferred.

    + Strategic thinker with a consultative approach to problem-solving.

    + Change leader with a passion for process improvement and innovation.

    + Collaborative and influential leader with a customer-first mindset.

     

    The annual salary range for this position is $149,000.00-$248,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
