**Pay Range:** $23.57 - $31.12 / hour DOE
**Schedule:** Wednesday - Saturday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm, Full-Time, Day Shift
Responsibilities
• Provide data and scientific expertise to support factory hygiene programs
• Carry out activities related to all microbiology, sensory & analytical chemistry programs including proper documentation & follow-up
• Trouble shoot, track and trend micro data
• Test all micro, sensory and analytical chemistry samples following the corporate and factory sampling plans
• Communicate results that are out of specification and adverse trends to QA leadership and provide input on corrective actions and troubleshooting
• Perform ICP and instrument calibrations for analytical equipment
• Perform QA/QC Testing of all micro lab supplies and equipment
• Perform Analytical testing
• Support the BTB Quality Monitoring System (QMS) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS)
• Participate in all required Proficiency Testing programs
• Maintain data for the laboratory programs
• Maintain laboratory compliance to BTB Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) and lab safety/biosafety programs
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in science field or a minimum of 3 years related working experience in a laboratory required
• Understanding and experience with microbiological and analytical chemistry testing techniques
• Able to handle complex and technical laboratory procedures that require accuracy and attention to detail
• Adherence to and engagement in the company safety policies and programs is required
• Computer experience required (Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Experience with hygienic water processing equipment and in a Laboratory with a team based environment
• Good written and oral communication skills to interact with plant personnel, vendors, etc.
• Possess strong organizational and record keeping skills
• Strong computer skills in Word and Excel
