    Job Description

    Transit Systems Project Manager

    We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven **Transit Systems Project Manager** to lead and oversee major transit infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in managing complex transit systems contracts, including signal systems, train control, and integration of various subsystems across large-scale projects. This position is contingent upon award of contract.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of major transit projects involving advanced systems integration.

    + Manage all phases of project development, from design through construction and commissioning.

    + Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across track, signal, communications, structural, and power systems.

    + Oversee the integration and implementation of transit technologies including:

    + SCADA systems

    + Communication systems

    + Access control

    + Passenger announcement systems

    + Passenger information displays

    + Control Center integration

    + Ensure project delivery aligns with budget, schedule, safety, and quality standards.

    + Collaborate with stakeholders to develop construction strategies that minimize operational disruptions in active transit environments.

    + Provide leadership in risk management, change control, and issue resolution.

    + Prepare and present project reports, updates, and documentation to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

    + Prepare financial overviews of the project in terms of profitability and cash flow.

    Qualifications

    Minimum:

    + BA/BS

    + 6 years of experience managing transit systems contracts or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    + Project Portfolio: Experience and successfully managed at least three (3) transit projects with a construction value exceeding $100 million.

    + Technical Expertise: Experience coordinating the design and construction of integrated transit systems, including signal, track, communications, structural, and power disciplines.

    + Operational Awareness: Demonstrated experience and ability to develop construction plans that minimize service disruptions in active transit systems.

    + Accounting and Finance Awareness: Experience and demonstrated ability to understand client invoice processing, liquidated damages risks, profit and cash flow assessment and management.

    + Experience and familiarity with public sector procurement processes and transit system standards.

    + Proficient in communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.

    Preferred;

    + PE and/or PMP or equivalent project management certification.

    Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $110,000.00 - $170,000.00.
