    FCDOT is seeking a self-motivated transportation professional to join the Transit Services Division (TSD). Reporting to the Operations Section Chief, this position is primarily responsible for assisting the operations section chief with oversight of the section. Duties include exercising supervisory responsibility over daily operations and ensuring adherence to standards. This position also maintains contractor data, performs analytical work using intelligent transportation software and data sources to assist with performance evaluation and facilitate data driven decision making.

    Responsibilities include:

    + Assisting the operations section chief with oversight of the section, monitoring and directing the operations team.

    + Maintaining operational performance data.

    + Developing dash boards and generating metrics reports; conducting trend analysis in operational performance to help identify performance gaps and synergies.

    + Producing monthly data performance outputs from various sections and collaborating with different sections to ensure a high level of data integrity throughout the division.

    + Assisting with quality assurance programs and process improvement.

    + Assisting with monitoring revenue control system using GFI reporting systems, including farebox probing, armored car pick-up/delivery controls, cash count documentation, and deposits documentation and weekly reconciliations.

    + Providing support and back-up assistance in reviewing and proofing public information documents to ensure data accuracy.

    + Compiling, maintaining and entering data related to national transit database reporting requirements.

    + Responsible for coaching, mentoring, training, and performance evaluations of assigned staff.

    + Participating in other tasks as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, urban, regional or transportation planning, or a closely related field, plus five years of progressively responsible transportation planning related experience. The years of experience should include at least one year in the specific area of assignment (for e.g., SAS, Modeling, Facilities Maintenance, et al).

    CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:

    Valid driver's license

    NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

    The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check and driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Knowledge of, and relevant experience in management of public transportation (fixed route, paratransit, school bus operations, etc.) service delivery with extensive experience related to transit operations and transit support functions.

    + Experience and well-versed in contract oversight and administration, performance management, and process improvement.

    + Experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).

    + Proven background and experience in quantitative data analysis to identify performance trends and gaps.

    + Experience working with agencies that have grantee relationships with the Federal Transit Administration and the United States Department of Transportation.

    + Understanding and experience in federal transit oversight and agency program compliance including triennial reviews, transit asset plans, and agency safety plans.

    + Experience utilizing and working knowledge of Clever, Trapeze, or other transportation software including Computer-Aided Dispatch and Automatic Vehicle Location (CAD/AVL).

    + Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills

    + Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as experience presenting to senior managers

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Work is generally sedentary. However, field visits, walking, standing, bending and carrying items up to 25 lbs in weight may be required. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.

    SELECTION PROCEDURE:
