Summary You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the NAVAL CONSOLIDATED BRIG of NAVAL CONSOLIDATED BRIG MIRAMAR. Responsibilities You will administer support activities (e.g., timekeeping, travel, security, safety, move coordination, manpower, budgets, personnel actions) for an organization. You will analyze installation human resources data reports to identify deficiencies or accomplishments. You will implement enterprise resource planning (e.g., budget, accounting, procurement, contracts) to track financial standings. You will advise senior leaders on physical security or safety concerns within an organization. You will create reports to outline resource management proposals. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applies administrative laws, regulations, and policies applicable to taskers, correspondence, staffing requests, records management, property control, and information services support; 2) Coordinates administrative services, to include: budget formulation and execution, financial planning, accounting, procurement and contract administration; 3) Plans, organizes and conduct studies and projects to assess and improve administrative services; and 4) Supports administration, to include: setting goals and objectives, recommending rules, regulations and guidelines, promote standard operating procedures. Physical Demands: The work is primarily sedentary with occasional walking, standing, bending and carrying lightweight items. No special physical effort or ability is required to perform the work. Must be able to pass through electronic doors and gates. Must be able to participate in pre-service and in-service corrections training. No physical demands beyond those satisfied by good basic health are anticipated; however, 6 tuberculosis and blood borne pathogens are considered potential hazards in a correctional setting. Hepatitis vaccinations may be available to all staff. Security situations may include high stress periods of contact with prisoners. Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment with no unusual risks or discomfort. The area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. The work involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions. Contact with prisoners is routine, but not considered heavy. Security regulations and procedures must be strictly adhered to.
