Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Supply Chain Execution Division of the NAVSUP AMMO LOG CENT MECH. Responsibilities You will direct inventory management and distribution functions for all Navy conventional and Marine Corps aviation conventional ordnance. You will direct all OCONUS ordnance distribution and ensure use of most cost-effective transportation modes while ensuring required delivery dates are met. You will communicate to ensure unified comprehensive and responsive ordnance supply chain solutions are available. You will engage with NAVCENT, MARCENT and CENTCOM, and other unified and combatant commanders to direct ordnance operational planning and distribution efforts supporting forward deployed warfighters. You will plan, control, direct, and implement major logistics changes and corrections as assigned. You will establish priorities and develop standard operating procedures (SOP) aimed at making the department function in a more cost effective and efficient manner. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the duties of a Logistics Management Specialist and exhibiting extensive knowledge of complex ordnance logistics support problems and management strategy. Specialized experience must include: 1.) Mastery knowledge of DoD and DON supply systems, policies, theories, techniques, and procedures associated with a variety of disciplines such as inventory management, requirements determination, allowancing, cataloging, packaging, funds control, transportation, quality assurance and enterprise level inventory management systems; 2.) Demonstrating an understanding of current and past logistics policies as well as an involvement in the development and application of logistics related concepts; 3.) Mastery knowledge in all aspects of the DoD's munitions requirements process as well as the acquisition and logistics life cycle; 4.) Planning, controlling, directing and implementing major logistics changes and corrections to all NAVSUP ordnance logistic support areas while establishing long-term ordnance logistics operational goals and vision; 5.) Mastery knowledge of multiple NAVY systems.
