Purpose:
The Internal Sales Manager will lead a team of Sales Support Representatives, increasing sales through proactive and reactive direct contact to producers, internal marketers and KDPs.
Accountabilities:
+ Consults on products, services, resources, compensation and regulations with assigned client accounts
+ Manages the service standards/performance metrics for the call center, adjusting workflows and/or resources to meet established performance standards
+ Monitors recorded phone calls for quality aspects and accuracy of information
+ Participates in and/or manages special projects by developing and implementing solutions which impact the business unit or the department
+ Participates in managing the operational aspects of our Sales Support Representatives to ensure service standards are met. This includes:
overseeing staff activities
reporting phone statistics
tracking results of call campaigns
assigning responsibilities / call lists / call campaigns
developing individual / team metrics reports
monitoring call volumes, workflows & operational processes
+ Partners with Sales Enablement team and Internal Sales Manager (Internal Wholesalers) to generate sales by handling the needs of the caller, profiling and relationship building
+ Performance Reviews
+ Produces monthly call center trend reports, identifying opportunities to improve services
+ Analyzes, enhances and manages the workflow of the team to improve operating efficiencies and meet the changing needs of the company
+ Assists in the handling of exceptions, complicated technical or complaint cases, while weighing company philosophy, compliance, business risks, tax and legal ramifications and administrative costs
+ Builds and maintains strong working relationships with agents, KDPs, agency staff, Financial Institutions, Broker Dealers, and IMO producers and other internal departments
+ 1X1 call quality coaching
Qualifications and Experience:
+ 7+ years of financial services industry sales experience preferred
+ 5+ years of experience with annuity products preferred
+ 2+ years of prior sales leadership/management experience
+ Microsoft Office Proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
+ Strong knowledge of Life Insurance and/or Annuity products
+ Continuing education preferred (LOMA, Classes, Seminars)
+ Series 6 License Required
+ Experience with illustration software systems
+ Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
