**Shift:** 3:45 pm- 2:15 am

PDS Tech is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Special Process Technician to join our Special Process Department. This role involves performing blasting, surface treatment, and material handling operations with minimal supervision to support manufacturing and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Operate grit blasting and shot peening equipment to prepare and clean components.

+ Adjust parameters on manual, walk-in, and automatic blast machines.

+ Move parts in and out of machines using forklifts or other appropriate equipment.

+ Perform basic housekeeping and operate a floor scrubbing machine.

+ Transport components to various workstations throughout the facility.

+ Conduct preventative maintenance on blasting equipment and maintain records.

+ Replenish consumable materials (blast media, peening media, water jet media).

+ Assist with minor adjustments and repairs to department equipment and tools.

+ Load components onto fixtures for processing.

+ Follow Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and maintain forklift certification.

+ Adhere to safety standards, including wearing PPE such as respirators and protective gear.

Requirements:

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Ability to read, write, and follow simple instructions, forms, charts, and diagrams.

+ Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

+ Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.

+ Must pass Industrial Reading and Shop Math tests (70% or higher).

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance from cranes or lifting devices.

+ Willingness to work in environments involving fumes, chemicals, and heat.

Preferred Qualifications (Skill Level 2):

+ Minimum 1 year of experience blasting metal materials with various blast media.

+ Ability to train other employees on blasting techniques.

+ Experience performing preventive maintenance on blast equipment.

Working Conditions:

+ Exposure to heat, chemicals, and coating materials.

+ Frequent bending, stretching, standing, and repetitive motions.

+ Use of safety gear, including respirators, gloves, and protective clothing.

**Pay Details:** $22.00 per hour
