Peckham Inc. - Youth Services Specialist

    POSITION SUMMARY

Youth Specialist – Make a Lasting Impact

This is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to change lives, shape futures, and strengthen our community. As a Peckham Youth Specialist, you’ll be part of a small, dedicated team at the new Genesee County Juvenile Justice Facility, working alongside youth referred by the 7th Judicial Circuit Court - Family Division.

In this role, you won’t just be helping young people — you’ll be helping them rediscover their potential. You'll guide them through barriers and into opportunity by building individualized vocational training plans based on their strengths, interests, and abilities. You'll connect them to industry-recognized credentials, life and soft-skills coaching, and real vocational pathways that open doors. This position goes beyond the classroom. You'll serve as a consistent advocate, appearing at court hearings, maintaining detailed case files, and ensuring treatment plans and reports are current and impactful. Through strength-based, evidence-informed approaches, you’ll coach new skills, nurture confidence, and help youth reconnect with family and community resources. You’ll be their steady hand, their motivator, their advocate — and often the first person who truly believes in their future. If you're mission-driven, passionate about justice and equity, and want to play a hands-on role in transforming young lives, this is your opportunity.
