**Austin Bridge & Road** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Lead Heavy Asphalt Equipment Repair Technician** for heavy civil projects in the **North** **Texas area.** Our technician is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing various types of heavy asphalt equipment, including pavers, road rollers, and milling machinery.

Responsibilities:

+ Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates smoothly

+ Identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues by using diagnostic equipment or by performing hands-on tests

+ Repairing or replacing broken parts, such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.

+ Maintain detailed service records for each piece of equipment for warranty, compliance, and tracking purposes.

+ Follow all safety policies and procedures

+ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

+ 3+ years of service and repair experience with asphalt paving equipment

+ Prefer experience with Roadtec, Wirtgen, Vogele, Weiler and other various brands of paving equipment

+ Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance skills

+ Maintenance & Repair and Troubleshooting abilities

+ Mechanical aptitude with required knowledge of:

+ Diesel engines

+ Transmissions

+ Electrical systems

+ Hydraulic systems

+ Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

+ Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety

+ Diligent in demonstrating safe work practices

Requirements:

+ High school diploma, GED, or vocational training/certification

+ Valid driver’s license

+ Requires working outdoors at times in the rain or snow and during cold, warm, and hot temperatures

+ Must be able to work hours adjusted to meet the project’s needs; days, nights and weekends
