    Position information

    **Title** : Pharmacy Technician – Specialty (Certified or Registered)

    **Facility** : Fidelity Health Care / Premier Health Specialty Pharmacy

    **Job Reports to** : Pharmacy Manager – Premier Health Specialty Pharmacy

    Position Summary

    General Summary/Responsibilities:

    Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and Pharmacists and according to standard procedures, assists in total prescription filling process: data entry, inventory management, counting, labeling, filing, and billing of prescribed products.

     

    Coordinate’s care (with a multi-disciplinary team) directly with patients and caregivers.

     

    Works with other team members and outside entities (insurance companies, PBMs, manufacturers) to obtain/verify patient financial responsibilities.

     

    Delivery to patient homes/treatment sites as directed.

    **Prior job title or occupational experience:** Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred

    Knowledge/Skills

    • Possess good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and problem solving skills

    • Able to read and write printed material in English

    • Proficiency with computer keyboard operations

    • Ability to compute simple algebraic ratios, volume/volume percentage and weight/volume percentage

     

    Possess ability to work well with other health care workers and perform as team member
