    Overview

     

    We’re looking for a board-certified or board-eligible Urologist to join our team! Our service area has a huge need for Urology and you can be as busy as you would like right away. We have a growing team with great ancillary staff, a physician-led supportive administrative staff and great hospital partners.

    Responsibilities

    Urologist Duties:

    + Diagnose and treat illnesses and disorders of the organs of the urinary system

    + Provide specialized medical care to patients

    + Assemble appropriate diagnostic and treatment strategies

    + Maintain and update professional knowledge by participating in continuing medical education

    + Monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjust to changes in patient conditions

    + Utilize physician referral services for consultations

    + Encourage and maintain open and supportive relationships with patients and their families

    + Maintain effective relationships with other physicians

    + Maintain patient confidentiality

    + Maintain appropriate documentation and records

    + Supervise well trained ancillary staff, to include PAs, Naps and nurses

    Urologist Responsibilities:

    + Manage the full spectrum of multiple surgical procedures and non-surgical procedures for male and female patients, including prostate, kidney, bladder, and kidney stones

    + Perform office-based procedures such as cystoscopy, urodynamics, urodynamics with uroflowmetry, and bladder biopsies

    + Perform surgical procedures, including cystoscopy, TURP, ureteroscopy, prostatectomy, prostatectomy with pelvic lymph node dissection, and bladder neck suspension

    + Perform ultrasound-guided procedures and injections

    + Perform vascular and urologic procedures

    + Incoming patients, schedule appointments, and develop treatment plans

    + Perform minimally invasive surgery

    + Communicate with referring physicians, insurance companies, and other medical professionals

    + Attend staff meetings, conferences and continuing education courses

    + Manage patient records and billings

    Qualifications

    + Residency in urology
