    Description

    We are looking for a Program Manager to join the Whole Foods Market Growth & Innovation team supporting Whole Foods Market and Amazon Retail Development projects. Reporting to the Executive Leader, the role will be responsible for supporting a small team that works cross-functionally with stakeholders throughout Whole Foods Market and Amazon to launch new stores. This role will be responsible for executing go-to market plans, including merchandising assortment, supply chain execution, and operations. Responsibilities include collaboration with Operations, Merchandising Presentation and Merchandising teams, partnering with Distribution and Receiving for supplier optimization, and monitoring overall performance. This position is based in any Store Support office, with an expectation of being in the Store Support office five days a week. Travel expected 25% of the time.

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    - Execute business plans and go-to-market strategies for new stores.

     

    - Collaborate with Merchandising stakeholders to innovate and drive evolution across the store portfolio.

     

    - Build trusted partnerships with cross functional partners.

     

    - Support the Growth & Innovation team’s culture of innovation and strategic expansion.

     

    - Independently manages complex projects requiring collaboration across multiple functions.

     

    - Plays a consultative role to help put in place the appropriate people, processes, and tools to enable effective project management and success.

     

    - Manages projects with complex business, operational, technical, and other challenges.

     

    - Determines and coordinates sharing of leveraged resources among projects.

     

    - Solves complex and ambiguous analytical projects on a company-wide basis.

     

    - Engages with leadership to identify and define business critical process improvements.

     

    - Develops project plans and schedules, including task assignments, resources, milestones, review points, and reporting requirements.

     

    - Remains current with industry, process, and technology state-of-the-art.

    Basic Qualifications

    - 3+ years of program or project management experience

     

    - 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

     

    - Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

     

    - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

     

    - Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

    Preferred Qualifications

    - 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

     

    - 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

     

    - Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

     

    - Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
