    Overview

     

    Touro's Lander College of Men's is hiring adjunct faculty. Adjuncts are responsible for instruction, course preparation, developing instructional materials, student advisement, grading, and assessment as a member of the instructional team of a school or academic department.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepares and delivers lectures to undergraduate students

    + Prepare course materials including: syllabi, exams, homework assignments, and handouts

    + Creating a classroom environment where students feel comfortable participating and learning

    + Preparing students for assessments and providing helpful performance feedback

    + Maintains regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students checking college emails regularly

    + Keeping up-to-date with advancements in the field and integrating new knowledge into curriculum

    Qualifications

    Education/ Experience

    + A Master’s or PhD. in the relevant academic field

    + Previous college level teaching experience

    *Excluding adjuncts working in the athletic department

     

    Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

     

    + Demonstrated ability and desire to teach

    + Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

    + Expert knowledge of field

    + Ability to make decisions and solve problems

    + Performs administrative activities

     

    Maximum Salary

     

    USD $3,250.00/Sem

     

    Minimum Salary

     

    USD $2,750.00/Sem
