    Responsibilities

    About This Position

     

    In keeping with Marian Medical Center health care philosophy, the Operating Room Clinical Nurse is an

    experienced practitioner who demonstrates in-depth knowledge of nursing and patient care, and has the

    ability to practice independently at MMC and applicable entities. The OR Clinical Nurse also serves as

     

    a resource person as well as a preceptor. Under minimal supervision, the OR Clinical Nurse identifies

    and implements nursing interventions for patients and evaluates the results of these interventions for a

    given patient population. Supports and promotes the provision of quality patient care. In addition to these

     

    major responsibilities, the Registered Nurse may be assigned other duties.

     

    Demonstrates the ability to function within a team-oriented patient care delivery model. Possesses proficiency in basic and specialized nursing skills. Demonstrates knowledge of the nursing process and the capacity to apply these principles effectively. Exhibits a caring and compassionate demeanor. Demonstrates the ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently. Communicates clearly and effectively in both written and oral English, with active listening skills. Demonstrates a willingness to participate in process improvement initiatives. Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across all departments. Remains calm and efficient in emergency situations. Collaborates with and provides leadership to the patient care team. Possesses the ability to achieve organizational results through effective leadership, creative problem-solving, conflict management, and innovative solutions.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + 1 year of clinical nursing experience

    + ADN

    + Current unencumbered California Registered Nurse license.

    + Current approved health care provider CPR certification - BLS within 6 months of employment.

    + Current PALS within 6 months of employment.

    + Current ACLS.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + 2 years or greater recent periop experience as circulating and/or scrubbing RN, or clinical nursing in Tele, CCU or ED.

    + Experience as RN in CVOR, Ortho, Neuro, General, Robotics, GYN, Advanced Endoscopy, Hybrid procedures and urology highly preferred.

    + BSN

    + CRNFA, CNOR, ATLS, ONC, CFPN, CPPS, CV-BC, and/or CCRN

     

    Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

    Pay Range

    $48.43 - $72.26 /hour
